TBI launching free iPhone app for TV industry

Informa Telecoms & Media’s Television Business International (TBI) is launching an app that will give iPhone and iPad users access to TBI’s exclusive Programme Prices Guide information on the move as well as the latest news from the TV industry. The app will launch in time for MIPCOM and will be available to download for free before the market.

As well as being able to access all of the news and opinion on the TBIvision website the app will contain searchable Programme Prices Guide information. The pricing data is gathered exclusively by DTVE sister publication TBI and stretches to information for over 40 key territories and across six different genres (docs, drama, formats, animation, live-action and TV movies). Users will be able to search by genre or territory.

TBI editor Stewart Clarke said: “People in the TV business are invariably on the move and an increasing number of them rely on their iPhones so TBI’s free app will allow them to keep up with the latest news as well as to access our invaluable Programme Prices Guide.”
