French TV ads up 17%

Cumulative ad revenues from French commercial broadcasters reached €3.8bn in the first six months of the year, according to Yacast.

The total reported by the French research firm represents a year-on-year increase of 17%. Digital terrestrial channels reported the strongest growth, a 36.6% increase on the same period a year earlier. Meanwhile, leading commercial broadcaster TF1’s ad revenues were up 15% in the first half of the year while revenues at its main rival, RTL-backed M6, were up 7%.
