UPC Austria sees half a million movie requests

UPC Austria had over 500,000 million requests for movies from its on-demand service during the first year of its operation. The cable operator said it had seen an average of 40,000 monthly requests.

The operator also announced that it is creating dedicated kids portals for the on-demand service. Preschool, Kids and Teens areas will offer up to 120 episodes from various series, with some programmes available for free and others priced at €0.98 per episode.
