DNA completes Welho acquisition, plans new services

Finnish mobile telco DNA has completed the acquisition of cable operator Welho following approval from the country’s competition authority.

DNA signed a definitive agreement with Sanoma to purchase Welho at the end of May. The acquisition will create a company with three million subscribers, including 600,000 cable customers. “We will continue to focus on providing excellent customer service and user-friendly, high-quality services to our customers. Together, DNA and Welho have a wide and diverse service portfolio and we will also work on developing new content services alongside Sanoma,” said Riitta Tiuraniemi, president and CEO of DNA.
