MTS moves to take full control of Comstar

Russian service provider Comstar-UTS has confirmed press reports that it is discussion with majority shareholder Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) for the latter to acquire the shares in the company that it does not already own.

A decision could be taken at the next meeting of Comstar’s board, due to take place tomorrow. MTS currently holds a 61.97% stake in Comstar.
