The Food Network is to roll out across Benelux and in Cyprus after striking a number of new carriage deals. The channel, which is a joint venture between Scripps Network Interactive and Liberty Global-owned Chello Zone, will launch later this month in Belgium via Telenet’s digital cable platform and in Cyprus next month via Cablenet. This comes after successful launches in Holland via CAIW Media and Glashart Media.
“The rollout of Food Network across the EMEA region underscores the worldwide demand for food programming. We’re sure viewers across Belgium, the Netherlands and Cyprus will enjoy the channel’s unique blend of inspiring chefs, mouth watering food and irresistible primetime entertainment,” said managing director, EMEA Nick Thorogood.Â
