Canis Media has announced it has taken over the management of Film24, the free-to-air entertainment channel available via Skys UK pay-TV platform.
The previous operating company is in liquidation but the channel does not immediately have to cease broadcasting, Canis said. The company will help the owners to consider business options, including an outright sale of the EPG position, a rescue package for the channel or a joint venture with a new channel owner in the UK or overseas.
Film24 broadcasts movies, documentaries, film quizzes and a range of US series.
