WarnerFilms to launch on Lovefilm

WarnerFilms, the Hollywood studio’s subscription video-on-demand service, is to launch on UK DVD rental and streaming site Lovefilm. The deal, struck by Warner Bros Entertainment’s International Branded Services, will see the SVOD service launch on the Lovefilm Player, as well as new releases being offered as transactional video-on-demand (TVOD).

The WarnerFilms service will offer 28 movies per month with seven new titles added each week and will initially include Batman Begins, Zodiac, The Matrix and The Wedding Singer.
Warner Bros will also offer certain titles including The Blind Side and Clash of the Titans to buy day and date online as they are available to buy on DVD.
