AETN to revamp History.com

International channel operator AETN is revamping its History.com website to create an archive for all things historical.

The site will be launched on July 4 – Independence Day in the United States – and will features more than 15,000 history guides as well as 4,000 videos and 2,500 video clips. While the site will still promote the channels new and returning series including doc series America: The Story and Ice Road Truckers, the company hopes the site will become an online destination itself with a range of games and tools including The Ultimate History Quiz, This Day in History feature and History Behind The Headlines. AETN is also set to air new short form, original web series on the site in the next few months.
