MTVNHD launches in Malta, expands Swiss and Polish carriage

MTVNHD, the high-definition MTV channel, will launch in Malta on June 1.

MTVNHD will be added to Maltese telco, Melita’s pay-TV service in the XL package. MTV Networks International also announced the HD channel will launch on Cablecom in Switzerland and on Polish cable operator Vectra’s service.

MTVNHD, which launched in September 2008 in six countries, currently reaches over seven million viewers in 28 countries. MTVNI plans to further expand the service to new territories including Austria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Italy, Portugal and Slovakia this year.
