Yesterday gets extra Freeview hours

Digital factual channel Yesterday has secured extra broadcast hours on the Freeview free-to-air DTT service.

The channel, which is operated by BBC Worldwide and Virgin Media joint venture UKTV, has secured extra capacity from transmissions company Arqiva. Currently it airs for 12 hours a day. It will launch as a full-fledged round-the-clock channel on Freeview from June. It already runs as a round-the-clock channel on the Sky and Virgin Media pay-TV platforms.
