BSkyB acquires database marketing arm

UK pay-TV provider BSkyB has acquired part of the UK database marketing activities of information services provider Experian to launch a new company to provide consumer and media insight services and customer management capabilities to hosted database clients including Sky.

The new company, to be created when the deal closes at the end of June, will operate under a new brand. The deal will see Sky acquire Experian assets valued at £8.6m
