Kabel BW to acquire Tele Columbus subscribers

German cable operator Kabel BW plans to acquire parts of fellow cable operator Tele Columbus within Baden-Württemberg, in which Kabel BW operates, subject to regulatory approval.

Financial details were not revealed. According to press reports, Tele Columbus, which is controlled by creditors including Alcentra, York Capital and Golden Tree, could transfer up to 50,000 of its two million strong base to Kabel BW.

Separately, Kabel BW has launched 100Mbps internet services in Bad Peterstal in western Baden-Württemberg.
