Latvian regional channel LRT has begun broadcasting in digital, according to Lattelecom, which operates the countrys digital-terrestrial platform.
The channel, which serves the Latgalia region in eastern Latvia, broadcasting from the town of Rezekne, will now be available across the entire region. LRT will cease analogue transmissions next week. The first regional channel to join the digital platform, Vidzeme TV, began broadcasting in April.
