French free-to-air broadcasters TF1 and M6 and pay-TV provider Canal Plus could restart negotiations on the launch of a joint catch-up TV service, according to a report in La Tribune newspaper.
Talks over the establishment of a joint service were postponed pending regulatory approval of the acquisition of digital terrestrial channels TMC and NT1 by TF1. Any catch-up service deal would have to obtain the approval of the competition authorities.
