Deutsche Telekom plans to target the rented housing market currently dominated by the cable industry in Germany, Christian Ilek, head of marketing for T-Home, told the ANGA Cable congress yesterday.
Ilek said Deutsche Telekom was planning to supply a pure TV service for rental housing associations. ÂHousing associations purely want a TV signal  triple-play is not required, said Ilek. ÂWe want to compete with cable. He said that Deutsche TelekomÂs objective was to offer the new service sometime next year, although it had not made a binding commitment.
