Video equipment supplier Harmonic has announced that Romanian DTH and cable operator Digital Cable Systems (DCS) has deployed its digital video delivery solutions for the Akta TV service.
DCS has deployed Harmonic’s ProStream 1000 stream processing platform for re-encoding, multiplexing and scrambling, NSG 9000 edgeQAMs for edge processing, and NMX Digital Service Manager to manage the video network infrastructure. DCS launched the 80-channel Akta TV digital service in March.
Harmonic also announced that Austrian cable operator Kabelsignal has deployed its IP-based video processing solutions for its kabelDigitalTV service. Harmonic has provided its ProStream 1000 stream processing platform, along with its Mentor re-encoding technology, NSG 9000 universal edgeQAM and NMX Digital Service Manager.
