Alfacam claims 3D first

Belgium-based producer Alfacam has claimed an industry first by recording 12 hours of live 3D TV for the EXQI channel distributed by cable operator Telenet last weekend.

The producer covered the Ghent Boxing Gala and the Fed Cup, a football match between Lierse SK and RS Waasland, as well as a performance by local pop act Leki & The Sweet Mints.

Further 3D events are planned for this weekend including a live recording of Jean Michel Jarre.
