Spanish broadcaster Antena 3 has said it will go it alone in the short term although talks have taken place with its free-to-air peer La Sexta regarding a merger.
Antena 3 management cited the complexity of the deal as a reason that no agreement has yet been inked. Meanwhile, Antena said that the price it can command for its advertising inventory increased 15% in the first three months of the year and 30% in April. Rival broadcaster Telecinco, meanwhile, said its ad revenues increased 30% in the first quarter.
