UK internet users watched 5.5bn videos online in February, up 37% year-on-year.
Buoyed by the popularity of YouTube, Google sites attracted 2.5 billion videos views in February, up 17%, with YouTube accounting for 99.6% of all views, according to internet market research company ComScore.
BBC sites, driven by iPlayer, ranked second with 140 million video views (up 143%), followed by Megavideo.com with 53 million videos. Broadcaster Channel 4 ranked sixth with 39 million views (up 26%), ITV came eighth with 28 million views (up 134%) and Sky came tenth with 19.5 million views (up 139%).
