Belgian cable operator Telenets first-quarter financials were boosted by continued multi-play conversions, the operator said. Telenet added 65,000 digital TV customers, 34,000 broadband customers and 22,000 fixed telephony subscribers.
Telenet now has 1.065 million digital TV subscribers, up 37% year-on-year, out of a total of 2.318 million cable customers, down 3% year-on-year. Broadband internet customers now number 1.15 million, while fixed telephony subscribers number 763,000. Mobile phone customers numbered 152,000, up 62% year-on-year.
Telenet had 673,000 triple-play subscribers as of March 31, up 17% year-on-year, while ARPU stood at Â37.70, up 12%.
Telenet posted revenues of Â316.9m for the quarter, up 11%, while net profit grew by 54% to Â13.3m.
