Canal Plus inks Blu-ray deal with LG

French pay-TV operator Canal Plus has inked a deal with consumer electronics giant LG, which will make the Canal Play video-on-demand service available on its connected TV sets.

The service will be available to consumers with LG Blu-ray cinema systems from May 5. They will be able to choose from 4,000 movies and 4,000 episodes of TV content that are available on the on-demand service.
