Eurosport and Orange to deliver 3D tennis

Sports broadcaster Eurosport and Orange TV will air this year’s Roland Garros tennis tournament in 3D in partnership with TV manufacturer Panasonic and the Federation Francaise de Tennis.

Coverage from the main Philippe Chatrier court will be broadcast live in 3D to Orange TV subscribers in France on a dedicated channel. The entire tournament will also be transmitted in 3D to various retail stores in France, while Eurosport will deliver the same signal to a further 3,000 stores in 58 European countries on Panasonic’s VT20 3D plasma televisions.

A 3D Roland Garros documentary will also be produced after the event, which takes place between May 23 and June 6.
