Gaming network the Poker Channel has announced plans to launch a localised channel for the French market.
Poker Channel France will debut on June 8 and will be available via the Numericable cable service and IPTV platforms from Iliad, SFR and Bouygues Telecom. It will offer French-language coverage of major events including the WSOP, EPT and WPT as well as tutorial shows, daily news updates and exclusive tournaments such as the European Cash Game, which will be filmed later this year in Paris.
The Poker Channel has also announced three new territories for its pan-European feed, including Latvia from today, Austria from May 5 and Monaco from June 8, taking it to a total of 28 countries and over 22 million TV homes.
