Sports broadcaster ESPN has been granted the exclusive mobile highlights rights to all 380 Barclays Premier League matches in the UK for three years.
The rights allow ESPN to deliver in-game, post-game and customised highlights packages, including goals, to mobile devices.
The deal complements the TV rights that ESPN has to broadcast Premier League matches. For the 2009/2010 season the broadcaster took two of the live TV rights packages offered by the Premier League but from next season it will only have access to one of the packages.
