Canal Plus has launched the first decoders for Canal ReadyÂ integrated TVs, following the launch of its digital-terrestrial HD set-top.
Canal Plus is providing CI Plus conditional access modules supplied by Kudelski-owned SmarDTV and commercialised by Strong, which can be inserted into a TV with the appropriate CI Plus slot.
Samsung is the first supplier to market with Canal Ready TVs and according to Canal Plus, the Canal Ready label will be adopted soon by other manufacturers.
Premium services from Canal Plus available on the digital-terrestrial platform comprise channels Canal Plus HD, Canal Plus Cinema and Canal Plus Sport, the Canal Plus Weekend offer and the TNT CanalSat bouquet.
