UK pay-TV channel Zone Horror is rebranding as the Horror Channel next month.Â
As part of the rebrand the channel is running a number of themed programming slots including a Vampire Week with the launch of movies including Slayer and Thirst as well as Blade: The Series and a Stephen King month that will see it air The Shining TV mini-series and movies including Tommyknockers and Salem’s Lot. The broadcaster has also struck a programming deal with independent film distributor Revolver Entertainment to air movies including Diagnosis Death, Red Mist, The Grave Dancers, Mega Snake and The Ferryman.
The channel, which is a joint venture between Chello Zone and CBS Studios International and is available across satellite pay-TV service Sky and cabler Virgin Media, has also hired Paul McEvoy to join its programming team. McEvoy is the co-founder of London horror film festival FrightFest.
