TF1 gets green light for TMC and NT1 deal

French broadcaster TF1 has been given the go-ahead to purchase digital TV assets from AB Group by regulator the CSA, according to local reports.

The CSA has imposed eight conditions on TF1 relating to the quality of programmes shown on the channels. French competition authorities had already imposed three conditions when they agreed the deal in January.

TF1 plans to buy all of free-to-air channel NT1 and double its stake in TMC to 80% in a deal worth €192m.
