Software-based conditional-access providers Verimatrix and Widevine have reached a settlement of their long-running patent dispute.
Widevine filed a suit in August 2007 alleging that Verimatrixs VCAS products infringed two of WidevineÂs patents. Under the terms of the agreements, Widevine granted Verimatrix a licence to the two asserted Widevine patents and the foreign counterparts. Verimatrix said it has made no admission as to infringement of the patents.
