Ruwido wins Virgin Media contract, announces new voco apps

Remote control supplier Ruwido has been chosen to supply remote controls to UK cable operator Virgin Media for its new V HD Box.

The deal extends the existing 10-year relationship between Virgin Media and the Austrian company. Ruwido will deliver its Unified remote for Virgin Media customers.

Separately, Ruwido has announced the launch of a number of social communication and health apps for its voco media interactive IPTV platform. The social communication app allows viewers to connect from different locations and share the viewing experience together. The platform supports individualisation and child safety via a fingerprint identification feature on the remote.
