French broadband service provider Iliad Telecom/Free has posted revenue of 1.955bn for 2009, 25% up on the previous year, with net profit of Â176m, up 75%.
The group set a target of five million broadband subscribers in 2011, with a target of providing fibre-to-the-home coverage to four million households by 2012. It also plans to launch a commercial 3G mobile service in 2012 after covering about 27% of the countryÂs population with its network.
Iliad attributed the strong performance to solid organic growth and a rapid financial recovery from Alice, the ISP it acquired from Telecom Italia France.
