The EBU has urged decision makers at the current EU spectrum summit to support the future development of digital-terrestrial broadcasting and take into account the complementary nature of broadband.
In particular, the EBU has called for no further reduction in broadcasting spectrum beyond the 800MHz band, which it says would have negative consequences for viewers and broadcasters due to increased interference, decreased coverage and reduced opportunities for the development of further services such as 3D and push-video-on-demand.
