Digital Plus to broadcast World Cup matches in 3D

Spanish pay-TV service Digital Plus will broadcast key matches from the forthcoming World Cup in South Africa in 3D, according to Spanish press reports.

The move means that Digital Plus subscribers with an iPlus set-top and a 3D TV set will be able to view matches in 3D.

Digital Plus will air a total of 64 matches from the World Cup, all in HD, with 40 matches exclusive to Digital Plus in Spain.
