Virgin Media to take Sci Fi HD, launches new HD set-top

NBC Universal thematic channel Sci Fi will launch in high definition on UK MSO Virgin Media next month. The HD service will roll out on April 13. It is expected to be rebranded from Sci Fi to Syfy by the time it launches. The channel is operated by NBCU’s Universal Networks International division.
