Swedish broadband video-on-demand service Voddler has expanded its content line-up with a day-and-date deal with Warner Bros. The agreement follows Voddlers January deal with Sony  the first time the Hollywood studio had signed a VOD deal in Scandinavia.
The Warner Bros deal will give Voddler customers access to movies from Warner and New Line Cinema, including the Harry Potter movies, The Departed, Batman and The Blind Side.
Under the terms of the deal, movies will be available in the same release window as DVD.
Voddler currently has over 450,000 registered users. The service plans to expand its footprint to Norway and Denmark later this month, followed by Finland later in the spring. The company recently received SEK26m (Â2.6m) in funding from private-equity group Eqvitec Technology Fund.
