Spanish pay-TV operator Sogecable has been forced to pay back rival cable operator ONO Â40m in a dispute over pay-per-view soccer rights.
ONO acquired secondary soccer rights from the pay-TV unit of Spanish media company Prisa. However, a Spanish court has ruled that Sogecable used its dominant position to force ONO to pay an excessive fixed amount. Sogecable is set to appeal against the decision.
