France Télévisions staff consider striking

French trade union CGT is calling for France Télévisions staff to go on a day-long strike on March 14.

The union has called for strike action in protest against new working agreements proposed by management at the French public broadcaster. The timing of the strike would be particularly awkward for the broadcaster as it would coincide with its coverage of regional elections.
