Discovery moves into entertainment on DStv

Discovery has shaken up its channel output on Multichoice’s South African pay-TV platform DStv.

The core Discovery Channel will move into DStv’s general entertainment offering with Discovery World taking its place in the documentary channel section of the electronic programming guide. The change means that, as of start-March, Discovery’s channel line-up in South Africa will comprise four channels: Discovery Channel; Discovery World; Discovery HD Showcase; and Animal Planet.
