S&T provides MHEG engine for Freeview HD box

Interactive TV specialist Strategy & Technology’s RedKey 2 MHEG engine is powering the text and interactive services of the new Humax Freeview HD set-top box, the company has revealed.

Humax’s HD-FOX T2 is the first DVB-T2-capable Freeview HD receiver to go on sale in the UK. S&T’s MHEG engine will help broadcasters deliver red-button services as well as possible new interactive content to be delivered over broadband.
