On Digital Media selects NDS for new DTH platform

South African pay-TV operator On Digital Media has selected NDS as the technology provider and prime integrator for a new DTH platform, TopTV, that will launch during the second quarter of the year.

On Digital Media will secure their MPEG-4 DVB-S2-based service using NDS’ VideoGuard conditional access technology. It will also use NDS MediaHighway set-top box software and an NDS-developed electronic programme guide.

TopTV will offer a basic package of approximately 30 channels.
