International nets in the black for Viacom

Viacom posted full-year revenues yesterday that revealed decent growth in the affiliate fees of its range of international networks.

The international cable channels include MTV and VH1 and Viacom said that affiliate fees from these were up 11%, taking the total to US$2.9bn (€2.1bn). Overall revenues at the company’s Media Networks division, including the US operations and channels, decreased 5% to US$8.3bn with the company citing lower ancillary and advertising revenues. Overall company revenues were down 7% at US$13.6bn.
