Brazilian media giant Globo is making its international channel, Globo Internacional, available unencrypted until February 18 so viewers can see the Rio Carnival.
The channel, which is usually encrypted, will be in the clear on various pay TV platforms. In Portugal it will be available on platforms including Zon TV Cabo, Meo, Cabovisao and the Vodafone IPTV service. In Latin America it will be on the DirecTV pan-regional service and Cablevision in Mexico, Telmex in Peru and GTD in Chile. In the US the Globo Internacional freeview can be seen on Comcast and Time Warner cable systems.
