FranceÂs Conseil dÂEtat has annulled the measures mandating the removal of advertising on pubcaster France TÃ©lÃ©visionsÂ channels between 22.00 and 06.00.
The minister of culture last year wrote to France TÃ©lÃ©visions demanding the change even before the law mandating it had been passed by parliament. The Conseil dÂEtatÂs ruling followed a petition by a group of left-wing senators that arguing that the way the measure was forced through represented an abuse of power by the executive.
