TF1 trials VOD to smartphones

French commercial broadcaster TF1 is this week trialling the delivery of video-on-demand to smartphones.

The broadcaster is offering the Martin Scorsese film Casino to 360,000 owners of iPhones, iPod Touches and Google phones free-of-charge via a free downloadable TF1 Vision application. The project is sponsored by horse-racing organisation PMU.
