Arabsat to highlight new launches at forum

Middle East satellite broadcaster Arabsat is to hold its fifth forum for satellite TV broadcasting in Beirut on February 8-9.

The meeting at the city’s Intercontinental Venice Hotel, with representatives of about 300 channels present, comes ahead of the April and May launches respectively of Arabsat’s new 5-A and Badr-5 satellites. 5-A will give additional coverage over Africa while Badr-5 will boost Arabsat’s core 26° East position.
