Akado demos 3D, mulls future service

Russian service provider Akado has used the CSTB show in Moscow this week to demostrate 3DTV, and has said it has “not excluded” the possibility of launching a service in the near future, depending on a sufficiently large base of subscribers equipped with 3D TV sets and the availability of content.

Separately, Akado is considering expanding its partnerships with smaller operators in the Moscow region, in order to offer its services over third-party infrastructure, according to local reports. Over 140 companies are licensed to provide cable TV services in the Moscow region.
