Broadcast services provider Digital Media Centre, has been selected as the playout provider for the Food Network as it launches across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The channel is a partnership between Scripps Networks Interactive and Chello Zone that earlier this week launched as an international feed in EMEA after a successful UK launch on DTH platforms BSkyB and Freesat. The DMC will playout and distribute the Food Network via the Telstar 12 satellite.
Chello Zone, which along with the DMC is owned by Chellomedia, the content arm of Liberty Global, will perform scheduling, compliancy editing, promo production and channel representation.
