Viacom’s high definition music and entertainment channel MTVNHD is to launch in the Baltic region after striking a carriage deal with pay-TV operator Viasat Broadcasting.
The MTV Networks International-run channel will launch in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania this month and follows the launch of Viasat Baltics HD service last summer. The channel, which is already available across Scandinavia and parts of eastern Europe, will air music concerts including MTV Unplugged Katy Perry and Rock Am Ring: The Prodigy as well as kids series Spongebob Squarepants and Tak.
