Recently-merged Middle Eastern pay-TV platform Orbit Showtime is to launch eight new channels this month including three high-definition channels.
The launch is the first set of new channels to appear on the service, which will be rebranded OSN, following the two company’s merger in August last year. Standard-definition channels include BET, Food Network, Discovery ID, OSN Variety and Arabic-language entertainment net OSN Arabia, while HD channels include Nat Geo World HD, Discovery HD and OSN Movies.
