Multimedia Polska launches fixed-mobile convergence

Polish cable operator Multimedia Polska has launched a fixed-mobile convergence offer under the brand mobilFON.

Multimedia Polska customers who have Nokia phones with WiFi connectivity will be able to make calls over WiFi via the Multimedia Polska network, switching automatically to the mobile network when the user goes out of range. The service will enable users to take advantage of the lower call rates available via the fixed network.
